Perspectives not working -- tm1xl.ocx not found

Greetings

I get the following error message immediately when loading perspectives, it prevents perspectives from loading at all;

Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-time error '53':
File not found: tm1xl.ocx

I have 64b TM1 10.2.2 and 64b Excel 2013 installed.

I've reinstalled both as administrator (a couple of times now).

IBM support suggests manually un/reregistering a couple of .dll's, done that. Still getting nothing.

I also manually installed the vcredist package as suggested.

The files are all there in the install folder. There's this old thread, which didn't really give me anything to work with.

Anyone else had this issue who can advise me where to step next?

FYI we have the same software on multiple PC's that gets rolled out by our IT, and only on mine am I getting this problem. Got a fresh image and install of everything a couple of weeks ago and haven't had perspectives since.

Did you install 64 bit perspectives?
Chances are it might be the 32 bit version.

Hi jpjosey,

We already faced this kind of issue and registering the dlls didn't work at all.

The problem was coming from a conflict with another Excel add-in: Business Object Live Office Add-In
We fixed the issue deactivating this add-in.

Thanks for the hints guys. Just been to busy to experiment lately, have got servers I can remote onto for Perspectives use for now. Will follow up in this thread if I ever do get any further along with this problem.
