Hi All,
I have a requirement rename dimension element-I am not sure we have element rename option is available. Do I need to delete the existing dim element and then add back?
But - I have data available-present and previous. In this case do i need to export the existing element data and then load back to NEW dim element?
Please suggest best practice.
Thanks
Ravi

Re: Element rename
Those links are a bit old so could be quite misleading.
Generally nowadays people just use the SwapAliasWithPrincipalName function.
You create a new alias, populate with your replacement name/s and then the function via TI overwrites the principal names with the alias. You can then delete the alias or keep it as it will now contain the old names.
