Hi, All
We found this morning that TM1 application server stop running. So i get in to Cognos configuration and start it. Everything is up and running successfully.
I want to know the logging details so i can find out the actual reason behind this activity. I did not see pmsvc.log file with todays time stamp.
<TM1 installation location>\webapps\pmpsvc\WEB-INF\configuration\log4j.properties has Info Level
Please let me know where should i look in to to figure it out the cause behind this unusual activity?
Please feel free if you require further information.
Thank You
Dharav

Re: TM1 Application Server
Assuming you are on windows you could look at the event viewer, for your application server.

Re: TM1 Application Server
Maybe because of exceeding memory.
If the memory on server is low, App server may stop because of tm1web

Re: TM1 Application Server
which FP release are you on? we've recently had the same problem on FP1, something popped the JVM RAM limits within the apache server, which by default is only 768MB. Event log in Windows gave us out of memory errors at the time of the crash, IBM are currently investigating why it's suddenly ballooned to 22GB of RAM

If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.

Re: TM1 Application Server
Search the IBM technotes for 10.2.2 logging. There it will be able to tell you where to turn the AppServer DEBUG logging on. If it happens again, then you can have it set up already.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that there is enough info to find the root cause on this occasion.
But the event viewer in Windows is possible.
