Copy / Paste issue in Architect

Post by ardi »

Hi,

I hope someone knows how to avoid this issue, it's just annoying and I hope IBM will do something about this one day:)

Copying code from TI editor or Rules Editor ( Control+C ) to clipboard has this issue ( I always had this issue since version 9.4 at least ). The issue is that instead of storing the code you want to copy in clipboard, it stores the following lines :)

---------------------------
TM1
---------------------------
Process completed successfully
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Check out Garry's suggestion it takes no time at all to retrain your fingers and seems to work consistently! Thanks for reviving that one Garry (double-thumbs up)

Yes, the Ctrl-C thing in Server Explorer has been around as long as I remember. What I have found is that if you hold down Ctrl and then keep it held down when you hit C then it works OK. It just seems that the combination, done at the same time, can be problematic.

I think you get the code

Code: Select all

---------------------------
TM1
---------------------------
Process completed successfully
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
in your clip board when you have a dialogue box from running a process left there waiting for OK to be clicked.

Have a look at all the open windows and see if you have just run a process with from a TI windows or from Architect.
