Is there a way, when running issetup.exe, that you can select what component (i.e. The TM1 web component) you want to install? When we run, it skips the component selector and goes straight through installation.
We are trying to implement TM1 web and this is our first hurdle.
TIA!

Are you sure you are installing the Server? This sounds like what happens when you install the client. They are separate installation packages.konjis1 wrote:Is there a way, when running issetup.exe, that you can select what component (i.e. The TM1 web component) you want to install? It could also cenceivably be a FixPack being installed on top of an existing installation of TM1 as that doesn't show you the component choice page either. Without more details (OS, 32/64-bit, version number etc) it will be hard to help more.

That makes sense. It was just the client...so with that said I will have to do a clean install on the server?tomok wrote:Are you sure you are installing the Server? Re: Issetup.exe
It was just a client install of Xcelerator. We are on Windows Server 2008R2 32 bit and Cognos 10.2.1.2. So my assumption is that we would have to reinstall Cognos clean???qml wrote:It could also cenceivably be a FixPack being installed on top of an existing installation of TM1 as that doesn't show you the component choice page either. Re: Issetup.exe
It would have been wise to mention that tiny 'detail' that it's Cognos Express you are talking about. It did not make much difference in this case, but you had no way of being certain of that before asking the question.
Now, you already have the client software (Xcelerator) installed on the server, which you probably don't need there. So you might as well (but don't have to) uninstall that, it's very easy. The key is to of course install the server software on the server using the correct installation package.
And lastly, there are newer versions of CE than 10.2.1.2. Any particular reason you are going with that version? Especially if you're after Web I suggest you choose a newer release. TM1 10.2.0.2 that's built into CE 10.2.1.2 had had a freshly rewritten Web component which took a few more releases to be usable again.

Re: Issetup.exe
My apologies on the lack on environment information. I was using 10.2.1.2 only because that is what we had loaded. I agree we should update to the latest version of Express. So should I uninstall everything and start from scratch? And as far as the server installation package, would I find that in IBMs site?qml wrote:It would have been wise to mention that tiny 'detail' that it's Cognos Express you are talking about. Yes but you have to have a Passport Advantage ID and password.konjis1 wrote:And as far as the server installation package, would I find that in IBMs site?
