Whats the quickest way to edit an element name without having to recreate another element with the proper name?

Use the search feature at top right to look through threads relating to the SwapAliasWithPrincipalName function.
Personally I wouldn't trust it; I'd prefer to export the data, change the name and re-import it. Still, it exists and as long as you back up the data first it may do what you need.
