Recently we are consider to design a flexible solution to implement Approval Workflow in TM1 v10.2.2, and the considerations are listed as below:
- Multiple levels of Approval Hierarchy: the system should be configured easier when the customers require to change the 2 levels approval hierarchy to 3 levels (or change 4 levels to 3 levels.
- TM1 Applications or customized cubes on TM1 Web? : According to the user guide, IBM recommends to use Performance Model to design Applications for workflow. But in fact, as I learnt, most TM1 projects adopt customizing cubes for the implementation because of flexibility and customization. If so, what are the advantages and disadvantages of TM1 Applications and TM1 Web? How can we balance the both?
- Security of Client and Group: does it mean I need to create each group for departments? Supposing each department has different contributor and reviewer. In this case, the total number of groups = 2 (for user type) * the number of departments. Correct?
