unable to Copy data from excel to cube view

Hi,

I am unable to copy data from excel to cube view ,while i am pasting in cube view it is saying could not insert valid names in the subset because they are not valid element names in the dimension but where as i can copy in my system.I don't understand what is the issue

Could you please tell what exactly you are trying to do here? We used to slice the data and adjust the load factors to factors provided by S&OP team and copy paste to cube to specific required columns.Is it really the cube view you pasting to? Thanks

Looks like you are trying to paste a value (from Excel) into a dimension subset in the Cube View, but that value doesn't correspond to an existing element in that dimension.

Yes i am trying to copy to subset,but any way i cant paste tge consolidated values .so is there any i can copy data from excel to cube i know one is ti process but excel format is in xslx format how should i convert it to cvs

Just save the file as .csv and that;s it,the other way is write back to export it to slice and use DRBW formula.Thanks
