Hi Everyone,
Can we add a dimension to an existing cube? If not, why can't we do so?

Re: add dimension to existing cube
Performance Modeller allows you to do so but you need to obviously map all of your existing values to just 1 element in the new dimension and you need to be careful of the implications on rules for that cube and any associated TI processes in or out.
Its often easier/more robust to just ascii out your old values and build a new cube.
If you go the PM route though i haven't done it in a while but think you just open the cube view and then drag your new dimension over to a row/column etc.

Re: add dimension to existing cube
It was noted in a previous thread that for you to do this via PM, the target cube has to be very small otherwise it kicks up errors.
If you have quite a lot of data in it, best to do as above.
