IBM Cognos for Microsoft Office

Post by kkmk »

Hi,

We are using IBM Cognos for Microsoft Office and after installation, it asks for Namespace, Username and password. We are NOT using integrated log on and whenever we provide TM1 access user name password it throws error.

Any idea how to resolve this issue? Are we missing any configuration part.

TM1 10.1
Excel 2010

Thanks

If you were using integrated login, the system wouldn't prompt for user credentials. My guess is that you have set the IntegratedSecurityMode parameter in the tm1s.cfg file to 4 or 5, which means the server is using CAM security and is prompting for CAM namespace, username and password. Note that the namespace label is case sensitive.

If you go to options and insert the System URL etc it should prepopulate the Namespace field & let you enter your Name & Password.

As for the Integrated Login, we have not been able to get that to work. It was suggested to get CAM set up but that was way too much hassle for something we only have in our Development environmnet. (Our cfg file has IntegratedSecurityMode=2 as well)
