Hi All,
I am unable to backout data using Transaction log Query.
I Query transaction log, select the records I want and "Backout". I am expecting the data to rollback from input cubes.
We are using 10.2.2. any ideas? Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks,
Paul.

What does it do? Get an error message or anything?

Thanks for the reply Declanr.
No Error. The data just remained just as is.

Re: Transaction log Query Backout not working
I've just tested in 10.2.2 and wasn't able to reproduce, it worked without any issues.
Does it fail for you on everything or are you able to back out some transactions but not others?

You'll have to indulge me if this is in the "too obvious" basket, but I know that this has caught people out before; when you say that you "select" the records do you mean that you just highlight the records in the grid? Because to TM1's strange little mind you may have "selected" them by doing that but you haven't selected them.
You also need to either go to the Edit menu and choose Select (or hit [Ctrl]+[T]) to put checkmarks to the left of the records before you do the rollback. Only the records with the checkmark are rolled back, regardless of which rows are highlighted in the grid at the time.

Probably exactly as per Alan's hypothesis. The requirement to "double select" is far from intuitive and has caught me out a few times I'll admit.LutherPaul wrote:Thanks Guys!!
