Learning TI

Post by wypwong »

What is the best way to learn about TI? How did you learn it in the first place? Any tips and hints would be appreciated.

I have done the IBM course, but there are only 2 exercises.

Thanks.

This document by TM1 guru Mr.Alan is excellent place to start with:
http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1332 and then go to the post:
A collection of introductory questions about writing TI Code (O.A.F.)
How to develop TI advanced script writing skills

I honestly consider it TI guide. Thanks

Hello

The link refers to the Old Applix forum (I guess this is what OAF stands for)
I never visited that forum but given that it's "Applix" and "old", I suspect the forums is not active anymore.
Someone like Alan Kirk will soon read this post and post a comment :-)

I'm afraid that the OAF links broke when the OLAPForums domain was allowed to lapse. I'll go through and fix them as soon as I can but in the meantime the posts that BariAbdul kindly referred to can be found here.

The Applix forum is indeed long since in its grave, but Messrs Ryan & Goff ensured that its content (including whatever had been imported into there from the original Yahoo group, for those who have been around long enough to remember that) lived on over here. The root link is http://applixforum.tm1forum.com/. I've updated all of the FAQ links to point to the correct place. (The links had been previously pointing to our old name of Olapforums.com, which has been allowed to lapse.)
