Dear All,
Our company wants to go for dashboards for various mangers. I am not sure which tool to pick from IBM and which tool is apt for our current setup.
We have Cognos Express 10.1 installed in our company with 50 users. With in the Cognos Express, we are using Manager, Xcelerator & Web.
And we do have Cognos BI 8 (migrating to version 10) and it is not integrated with Cognos Express though.
I appreciate it if some one could advise the dashboard tool that is appropriate or is there any exclusive dashboard tool for Cognos Express?

Re: Right tool for dashboarding
From a licensing perspective you can't integrate CX with enterprise BI, you would need to use the Reporter component of CX for traditional BI functionality. But there would be nothing to stop you exporting the content of CX cubes and importing into a DWH that is used by another reporting tool. Although depending on the requirements TM1 Web is more than adequate for most dashboards with much lower development costs.
Also Cognos 9? I don't think that exists, the major version jumped straight from 8 to 10. TM1 was the only product in the stack that had a v9 as far as I'm aware.

I am sorry, there was a typo. We have Cognos BI 8 and we are migrating to 10.
However, apart from TM1 web, is there any dedicated dashboard tool for Cognos Express?

Re: Right tool for dashboarding
Cognos Express basically comes with all the functionality of BI in terms of dashboards, its just intended for use on a smaller scale (this is the "reporter" connector)... since you have full fat BI there is no point using the CX version; just export your data from TM1 to a database and create your dashboards in BI, it is a software dedicated for just such a purpose.
