Using TM1 Web/Insight without JRE

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it's possible to have TM1 Web & Insight to work without JRE?

In our company it's classified as "Restricted" & means 6+ months of bureaucracy to get approvals to use it.

I am afraid Not possible IMHO .

TM1 10x marks the shift to JAVA . As the TM1 Application Server is Tomcat

Does this include when opening from the Applications screen from pmpsvc\applications ?

I renamed by javaws.exe files to javaws_OLD.exe and Insight & Performance Modeller seemed to work still. Does that mean that javaws.exe has nothing to do with JRE or that JRE is not required to run the apps? Or am I going to find out after roll out that certain functions aren't working...

JRE is required. However, you should be able to specify your own (approved) JRE.

Check folders install_location/tm1_64/bin64/jre and install_location/tm1_64/bin/jre, these are the JREs (64-bit and 32-bit) that are used by TM1.
