Hi!
Might be a stupid question but I can't seem to find a straight answer, nor in available documentation nor from the IBM support that refers to an old document setting up SSO with Cognos Express 9.5 and Windows Server 2008.
My client has a simple set up, a 64-bit server running Windows Server 2012, Cognos Express 10.2.1 with TM1 in integrated security mode 5. A regular Microsoft AD. How do I setup SSO so that users are not prompted for UID/PWD every time they access either TM1 Applications, Perspectives or Architect?
Thanks in advance!
David

You have to use the gateway (see the installation document). After that you can configure the SSO option in IIS.

Re: SSO Cognos Express 10.2.1
Hi Marco!
Thanks for your quick reply! So there is no way around using IIS? I thought that there might be a different solution out there since IBM scrapped IIS for TM1 Applications etc. Do you know if the IBM document describing setting up SSO on Cognos Express 9.5 is still valid for Cognos Express 10.2.1?
Thanks,
David

The methode described for Express 9.5 is almost the same for Express 10.2.1. If you are using isapi instead of cgi, you don't have to change the application pool to 32-bit anymore.

Thanks again Marco!
I'll go ahead and try that then. Would you recommend ISAPI instead of CGI?
Thanks,
David

Hi David!
If you use IIS the answer is yes. On IIS the ISAPI is more efficient than CGI. (more optimized memory usage)
