We have cells in a cube that are supposed to be edittable. However, only admins can edit the cells. I have read one excellent thread on here about this problem, but it did not include the aspect we are dealing with, namely Contributor security. The users cannot edit the required cells in either Contributor or Architect. While the problem is occurring in all cubes, we are concentrating on resolving this in one cube thinking the problem for it will resolve the rest.
When we check the cell status, we get "Cell cannot be edit
At the TM1 level:
1) The users have write access to the cube and the cube has four dimensions.
2) They have write access to all four dimensions and the dimension elements in those dimensions.
In the Contributor cubes:
1) }tp_application_permission}blah - Y in all cells
2) }tp_application_security_update}blah - blank in cells for the users
3) }tp_application_state}blah - it is a ragged hierarchy. For the top three consolidation nodes, STATE = 1, the rest of the consolidations down to and including the leaf nodes STATE = 2
4) }tp_central_application_state - all blank.
5) }CubeProperties - DATARESERVATIONMODE is blank for the one cube we are first trying to resolve.
********UPDATE**************
Isolated the problem while writing this note. Cubes exposed through TM1 Applications have an additional cube "}SecurityOverlayGlobal_cubename that is flagged with a "1" when the node is locked. What happened was the tp_application_state was manually changed. Bypassing TM1 Applications obviously failed to run a process to clear the lock flag in the }SecurityOverlay_Global cubes.
