Hi all,
This is my first post on this fine forum.
I have a minor TM1(9.5.2) issue that someone of you might have a lead on:
I have two tm1 servers[tm1 server instances] called "AC" and "BU". Both are connected to the same tm1-admin_host.
I made a test report in tm1 perspectives containing only simple DBRW-calls. Let's say the excel sheet has two cells as an example.
In the first cell the DBRW function references a cube and cell at server "AC" and the other cell the DBRW references server "BU".
In perspecives I connect to both servers and both excel cells are filled with the correct figures. Fine.
I now upload (from perspectives) the sheet to the "applications-collection" on server "AC" to make it accessable from tm1 web as a tm1 web sheet.
When I open the websheet from tm1 web to view it, only the first cell is populated with a value.
The cell with a DBRW referencing server "BU" is empty.
If I instead upload my sheet to server "BU", only the DBRW cell referencing server "BU" gets a value.
I have also tried using the BI tm1 websheet portlet, with the same result. I thought it might handle the security in some other way ....
I understand from IBM litterature that tm1 web should be able to do a background log on to other servers referenced in a websheet apart from the one you are logged on to. It all seems a bit odd, though and it is possible that I am all wrong about this possibility. I have also spoken to some guys at IBM who says this really should work. But it clearly does not.
Do anyone here have a clue on if this should work or not and if what could be the trouble I am facing?
all the best
/Robert

Re: websheets with more than ONE tm1 sources
Connecting to multiple TM1 servers in a TM1 websheet has 2 important provisos.
1/ both servers must be running on the same admin host
2/ the user login credentials must be identical on each server
Connecting to multiple TM1 servers, while common in Excel Perspectives, isn't a recommended practice for TM1 Web. It's not a feature I have ever used myself.

Thanks, I have both 1 and 2 covered.
Same admin host and the user I use is admin in both tm1 servers(server=instance=one tm1s.cfg or whatever).
I have a PMR open at IBM and will report back here when (if) I get a conclusive answer from IBM.

Re: websheets with more than ONE tm1 sources
I have found that this was fixed in 9.5.2 FP3.
Installed and verified.
Problem solved.
