TM1Web 10.1.1 SSL

Post by PlanningDev »

I'm wrangling with trying to implement SSO for Tm1Web

I have followed every set of instructions I can find and I still get system server client not found when trying to login through the web. The LDAP settings for Active Directory work fine for architect.

The one thing I haven't figured out is if I need to import a cert to the default website in IIS. Can anyone confirm if this is necessary?

Well, which one is it, Single Sign-on (SSO) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)? They are not even remotely related.

From what I've read in order to implement Single Sign On for TM1Web and use Active Directory as your LDAP you need to create an SSL connection on port 636. This is where inbelieve my issue is as I have turned on logging for both the web and the server to try and see what the issue might be. Attempted logins through TM1Web aren't even logged to the tm1server.log file which is giving me the impression that IIS isn't even allowing the attempt or is blocking it for some reason.

Maybe I'm headed in the wrong direction but like I said. I've followed the guide, a performance tech note and various KB articles with no luck. The one thing I noticed is that the default website may need to have a ca cert imported. Hence my post.
