TM1 User Group - Thursday 12th September 2013
I would like to invite you to become part of the first TM1 User Group in Scotland. This user group is being set up to give both prospective and current TM1 users the opportunity to discuss all aspects of TM1 with other users and Cognos TM1 experts. This is a chance to ask questions, discuss projects and share experiences with the wider TM1 community. Attendance is FREE OF CHARGE.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, 12th of September at the Holiday Inn Express, West Nile Street Glasgow. The event will start at 12.30 with a buffet lunch, we will cover Cognos Insight 10.2 on TM1 10.1.1 data, discuss a range of TM1 technical items and then have an open forum for technical queries. This is just a diary holder at the moment, I will provide more details nearer the time.
If there are any subjects you would like to cover or you would like to contribute on a particular topic, just let me know in advance and I will make sure it is added to the agenda. Please save the date in your diary and invite any of your colleagues who you feel may be interested in this event.
I expect this event to finish around 5.00pm, by which time we should be ready to head for the bar. Beers etc will be on me.
To register your attendance and/or suggest topics of interest, or if you require any further information, please just reply on here.
Please be aware that although Barrachd are organising and hosting this event, we genuinely wish for it to become a real user group, or at least a technical forum.
Several of our own TM1 technical staff will be in attendance.
I hope a few of you can make it.

Sounds good. Will you accept Yorkshire folk with Scottish names? If so I'm in.

May be a good excuse to spend some expenses getting back to the Motherland!
I'll try and arrange calendars - put me down as likely attendee

Duncan P & Gary Cook, you both very welcome.
Yorkshire folk can still cross the border in relative safety these days.
What Scottish name begins with P?
If there is anything you want added to the agenda, let me know, still plenty of time.
Cheers, JB.

I'm not sure it was the "P" that he was referring to, but with regard to the known part of his name I think you'd have to agree that "what he hath lost, noble Macbeth hath won".JB-Barrachd wrote:Duncan P & Gary Cook, you both very welcome.

Good point Alan.
I stupidly presumed he meant a Scottish surname.
I've even been to Iona. I think King Duncan is meant to be buried there.

Many thanks to John and Nicola for organising this, to the speakers Colm, Declan and Alan and to Barrachd for hosting it and buying the drinks afterwards. I for one had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone and talking TM1.
I'll definitely be back in 6 months.

Likewise, it's always good to talk TM1 with people that exist outside of the voices in my head.Duncan P wrote:Many thanks to John and Nicola for organising this, to the speakers Colm, Declan and Alan and to Barrachd for hosting it and buying the drinks afterwards. Hopefully next time I won't get stuck talking about a version of the software i'd only had a few hours to test out!
