Hi All,
I have installed TM1 10 app and webservers on two boxes.
Appserver looks good, but the webserver has issues.
After logging with userID onto "http://localhost:9510/pmpsvc", regular Cognos portal page displayed and no TM1 objects (cubes or dimensions or processes) are displayed.
There is something like "Import IBM Cognos TM1 pplication" on the tool bar. On hitting it, it's looking for an "Application File" to import. What is this? Can someone please let me know?
How do I display TM1 objects.
Env - Both servers are on win 2008 R2.
Thanks,
Luther.

I think you could be mixing up the new "TM1 Applications" service (the newer version of what used to be contributor with some other new stuff thrown in), which is what you arrive at when you go to the pmpsvc URL and "TM1 Web" which you still get to as you did pre version 10 (i.e. http:/localhost/tm1web/tm1weblogin.aspx)
If however you mean you can't see the TM1 objects in performance modeler which can be accessed through the pmpsvc link then its possible you haven't set up that particular TM1 Service within the applications service.
I say this as I assume by you saying that you are looking for "cubes, dimensions and processes" you are referring to the TM1 Web Navigation Tree but I could just be misunderstanding you.

Re: TM1 10 Webserver Install
Thank you. It helped.
I did not know that I had to look under Performance modeller.
I now have landed on another issue. Performance modeller looks like a tool to design.
Would you help with how the users who uses the url consume the websheets and cube views in a web browser?
Thanks again.
Luther.

If you want users to consume cube views and websheets then pmpsvc is not what you want.LutherPaul wrote:Thank you. It helped.

Try
http://localhost/tm1web/
(substitute localhost for the server name!)

Re: TM1 10 Webserver Install
Thank you Lotsaram! That worked. There were a few other things that I picked from this site after your post which have helped me complete this.
Basic signon works and how do I complete single sign-on?
I want to be able to make two web links
1 – site should open basic signon --> request credentials
2 – site should open with single signon --> no password required
From the posts, I learnt that a clean install creates the application and other virtual directories required on the webserver.
How do I create web links and other directories for single signon? Can someone help me get this?
Thanks,
Luther.

Re: TM1 10 Webserver Install
You can't mix those two security modes on the same TM1Web site. You either require Windows authentication (aka, single sign-on), or you require basic sign-on. CAM security is a whole different ball game. To do what you want you would have to create two different web sites. Do-able if you know how to manually create web sites, and all the permissions and what not that are required for TM1Web, but I wouldn't do it.LutherPaul wrote:I want to be able to make two web links

Re: TM1 10 Webserver Install
Hi Tomok,
Yes, ideally, I want two websites. That was the point I wanted to impy earlier.
While I was able to successfully configure basic signon, I am having dificulty, with integrated sign-on.
After setting the SPN, I am able to login from the webserver and not from anyother machine. Browser keeps asking me for user credentials though I have set to use "automatic logon with current username and password". Any ideas as to why this happens?
Thanks in advance,
Luther.

Re: TM1 10 Webserver Install
Well, did you create the two different web sites I told you was going to be necessary? Did you 1) create two distinct folders underneath c:\inetpub on the web server, 2) copy the appropriate TM1 contents into both, and then 3) gone into IIS Manager and configure the two different web sites?LutherPaul wrote:Hi Tomok,
