Re: connected mode - system server not found
Hi,
I suggest you to check the server firewall options.
Try to open Cognos Insight - Connected at the server machine, and then try to open at a client machine. If it opens properly at the server, I think the reason of the error is the server firewall.
Try to disable the firewall (domain firewall) at the server. Then If CI-C opens normally at the client machine, I'm sure the problem is the firewall.
BR,
Matya

Thanks for the reply.
Conected mode works fine when I open from server but not from client machine.
Tried to disable domain firewall aswell - same issue on client machine.

Re: connected mode - system server not found
Have you added(allowed) the cognosinsight.exe to(at) the Inbound Rules at client firewall?

Re: connected mode - system server not found
Allowed cognosinsight i firewall, still the same.
But i am sure its something with the commuication that messing it up here.
Trying to talk to the It- department but still no solution.

SOLVED! Re: connected mode - system server not found
Hi.
Finally solved it.
the issue was IPv4/IPv6.
In our local domain we use ipv4 but externaly we use microsoft direct access (Ipv6)
By setting tm1s.cfg , and tm1 config to IPversion = dual mode and push out IPVersion = dual in enviroment variable on all client computers it works.
