32 bit vs 64 Bit Compatable Issue

Hi,
My TM1 Application is being made in 32 bit version and my windows system is also 32 bit.I want to move my application to another server windows 2008 server R2 which is 64 Bit.

My TM1 Client is not detecting the TM1 server where I have to move our TM1 Application.

Please let me know whether TM1 application which is 32 bit is compatable with 64 bit server where I have to move our application.And if not How to check whether my compatability from 64 to 32.

Or if not possible Then How we can make the 64 bit server to 32 bit server i.e how to make server compatable with 32 bit server.

Please suggest I m stuck here... please suggest.

The client version is 32 bits. The server version is 32 bits or 64 bits.
If the versions are compatible, you can connect to both.
Generally speaking, the server version for TM1 should not be newer than the TM1 client version.
Ideally though, both client and server are on the same version.

It's not a 32 vs 64 bit issue, as Wim has explained so clearly. Thus you have something else wrong. I would suggest looking at:

• Server port(s) - should all be different
  Firewall settings

As a possible alternative issue (you haven't been clear here) you were, I think, talking about whether you could run a 32 bit TM1 server on 64 bit Windows - the answer is yes. Note you can't run a 64 bit server on 32 bit Windows - but I think you realise that.

You mean you are pretending to know about TM1 and actually charging someone for your lack of experience? Does your "Client" realise you are trying to learn on the job and, as soon as something doesn't work, you dash off a badly written, stream of consciousness query to a free forum - and then complain when you don't get an instant answer!

No wonder we come across so many badly written TM1 implementations, (though the day rate of the "consultants" they used was much less than from an experienced local TM1 partner!)

My Apologies.

Now in server which is 64 bit the perfonmance modeler is running But when Iam logging to the server from remote machine (which is 32 bit) the perfonmance modeler is not working in my remote machine which is 32 bit saying unable to connect to planning servers.

Please assist?

I think he was referencing the 'client' as the software, but I have the feeling you're probably correct. You'd think people would at least format their questions properly, but then again, it probably doesn't surprise any of the long-time members here.
