This is for TM1 10.1.1, on Windows Server 2008, with Excel 2010.
If you have a server using LDAP security, and then you switch back to default TM1 security, what happens to the Users and Groups? Are they preserved? What happens to their passwords? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Changing LDAP Security to Default

Re: Changing LDAP Security to Default
Regardless whether you get the Authentication from TM1 or LDAP. The users have to be created in TM1.
With LDAP, the password is sent to the LDAP server with the username for authentication. After that, the user will have all the attributes (i.e. groups defined in TM1).
With TM1, the password is saved (encrypted) in a cube.
As a practice, we have one TM1 admin user saved in TM1, which is not in LDAP. So for whatever reason we cannot connect to LDAP, simply revery the security to TM1 and login.
