TM1 Converting to Static Excel Perspectives Report

Post by erik664 »

Hello,

I'm using TM1 version 10.1.1 on Windows 7 64-bit with Office 2007 32-bit. I was wondering if there was a way to convert a report in excel perspectives to use the static values in the DBR() cells, so that the report values can be viewed even when you don't have access to the TM1 server. I know that converting to a CSV file would do the trick, but I would like to keep the nice formatting available in an .xlsx file. Is there any good way to convert reports in this manner?

Thanks,

I could be wrong but I believe that the TM1-Tools add-in developed by some of the forumers offers that function.

Hello,
You can do this by:-
  • Select all cell in the Excel sheet
  • Copy all cells (Ctl-C)
  • Paste Special, Just the values
  • Paste Special, all formatting
You could record and tweak a macro to do this for you.

Or you could use the standard report generator feature in TM1 ("Print Report") that lets you generate slices, snapshots ( ie creates static values) and pdf files, as well as cycling through dimension values.
