TM1 applications, Active sheet, “Action button” properties,

Post by LutherPaul »

Hi All,
TM1 applications, Active sheet, on “Action button” properties, unable to browse another worksheet.

I have created a new worksheet (app2.xls) and trying to this to an existing worksheet (app1.xls). After adding a button to app1.xls worksheet, I am tried to look in “TM1 Applications” for app2.xls (uploaded earlier), after I hit browse, window pops up, but I do not see any applications under TM1. I am connected to the server. Where have I gone wrong? I have restarted the server. Nothing has changed. Please help.

Thanks,
LP.

Have you made the other worksheet public or is it still set as private?

It is public. There are other applications and none show up.

I hate to ask, but you do have the correct server selected at the top of the TM1 Button Properties window right?

Have you checked your data folder? Do you have applications folders in there? Have you installed on windows 2008 r2? If so have you left the data folder within security limited program files directory? If so are you able to save data? Do you see data disappearing?

Another possibility would be that when you went through "add file" to the applications you selected the "add as a reference only" option instead of "copy to the server", in that case you wouldn't be able to see the file through the Action Button - applications menu.

Thanks for all your replies.

Yes, Correct server is selected on the top.

Data folder has all the other files. I do not see any data disappearing. This is a 2008 R2 server setup. Works perfectly on dev and not in QA. Both QA and DEV are on the same box.

I have checked the "Copy to server". This worked even yesterday and today none of the apps show up. There is no tree structure.

Thanks,

Hello,
Are you saving xls files or xlsx. If the latter then, if I remeber correctly, they are not displayed when you browse the list but you can type in the address/name.
