DropDown in pmpsvc at log on

Post by sun »

Hello,
is it possible to arrange somehow 'pmpsvc' (http://server:9510/pmpsvc) that at log in get all available TM1 servers.
This was possible by http:\server\tm1web/TM1WebLogin.aspx

I have two TM1 servers (instances) in configuration, and when i start performance modeler i choose one of them, and make applications. But all the applications (from both instances), i see in the same window. Is it possible to
seperate them?
tnx

Regards

Separation of TM1 instances does not seem to be the concept behind TM1 Applications. TM1 Applications is a common framework and brings together all of its applications at one location (http://server:9510/pmpsvc). However, this portal seems to be an intermediate solution. You can use it to access and administer all of your applications. I don't think it is dedicated to end users. TM1 Applications integrates good with Cognos BI and there you can e.g. create folders to separate applications.

I'm not sure if you noticed already, but users will only see the applications in pmpsvc which they are authorized for. So you as an administrator will always see the full list of applications, but an end users will only see "his" individual set of applications. May be this is already sufficient for your scenario.

I've managed to set up TM1 Applications to integrate with Cognos BI, which also brings single sign-on, so no log in page at all. This requires AuthenticationMode=5 in tm1s.cfg. Refer to the official TM1 installation manual on configuration steps. If you do not have Cognos BI in your company, you may use the "minimal" Cognos BI Runtime that is also included with a TM1 licence.
