Stargate Cache Understanding

Post by ioscat »

Hello, community.

Am I right in idea:
If user open a view of cube A that is rule dependent on values from another cube B that are rule defined, TM1 will built a view with precached values of cube B (I'd like to omit discussing of conditions of creating stargete view).
If any value in cube B changes all precached view becomes not valid.

Is it true?

I would qualify that as "all precached views in both cube A and cube B are invalidated", but in principle yes. This is actually covered pretty well in chapter 10 of "IBM Cognos TM1 - The Official Guide"
