Importing from excel file with dimensional data source

Hi,

I am using Manage External Data to import data from an excel file to a BI report based on a TM1 cube. I've done some research on this and have discovered the technique is different when working with relational and dimensional data sources. Has anybody been able to successfuly do this with a dimensional data source. I have Query 1 which is based on the TM1 cube. I created Query 2 to pull in the data from excel and created Query 3 to join together Query 1 and 2. The report will be based on Query 3 and there is a common dimension between Query 1 and 2. When I run the report, no data shows up. Any ideas? Thanks

May be a bit of a daft question but why import the data in to the TM1 cube via BI? Why not just load the data directly in to TM1?
