Hi,
This is regarding the end to end security that we need to implement in our TM1 project.
User A (not Admin) is having TM1 as well as Cognos access. We have created security @ TM1 level.
Means if he is authenticated to see only "Australia" data, we have incorporated in respective Dimension in TM1.
We are publishing the package from FM having TM1 as Data source. When we import this package in Cognos with User A's login, everytime it opens with Admin Level security (i.e. Security given to admin is being applied and not for User A)
Our motto is to apply TM1 security for User A in Cognos reports with Single-Signon for Cognos and TM1(i.e. User A can see only "Australia" data in Cognos reports).
Is there any property do we need to set in TM1 side to achieve for the same.
Please help us on this.
Regards,
Sathish

Re: TM1 Security in Cognos Reports
We recently implemented TM1 for our budget planning application and we set it up our application to use Cognos BI security. We then created groups within Cognos BI security for each of our locations. Then, within TM1, we imported the groups and assigned them to locations within the approval hierarchy. For reports within Cognos BI, what location the user had access to within TM1 was what the user saw when they ran reports. It even locked the user down to what locations the user could see on prompts.
I would check what access user A has within TM1. Start by right clicking on the applicable server instance within TM1 Architect and then Security, then clients/groups.
I hope this helps.
