9.5.2 action buttons ok in Excel, won't work in web

Action buttons work fine in Excel 2007 but in TM1 web appear as grey rectangles having no text and completely unresponsive to the mouse.

I did this test: I created a new Excel file having only an action button in it. The action button is configured to "calculate/rebuild only" and "automatically recalculate sheet", and has "Run" as its caption. That's it. When I click it in Excel, it recalculates the sheet. When I try this in TM1 web, the button is as I described above. This our first time trying action buttons on TM1 web, by the way.

I've spent considerable time researching this problem in this forum as well as other on sites and have not found help. Any ideas???

We'll upgrade to v10 in the next few months, but I'm really hoping for a fix to keep development going in the meantime.

I should have mentioned, this problem occurs both in IE v8 and and Firefox v16.
