Strange Behaviour in TM1 Zero Suppression & Consolidation

Post by mce »

Hi,

I started having a strange problem in a TM1 cube, for one item in a dimension.
For this item, it does not display anything when you suppress zeros, however when you disable zero suppression it displays values in leaf items.
Moreover, for this item, it does not display any number in consolidation elements of other dimensions although there are values in leaf elements and although there is no C level rule to overwrite the consolidation.
This looks quite strange to me. Have you seen this happening before? and what might be the cause? and how can I fix this problem?

Thanks in advance for replies.

What you are describing sounds like a classic case of an unfed rule calculation. When zero suppression is off and you right click one of the cells that disappears what do you see when you select
- trace calculation?
- check feeders?

Yes, this seems to be the case. I changed the code for feeders and it seems to be ok now.
Thanks.

Mate, surely you don't expect his feeders to be the same as yours and his feeder problem to be the same as yours?

Post your rules with feeder statements and a description of your problem and you are guaranteed to get help. The more detail, the better.
