Conditional Formatting without using Excel

Post by ioscat »

Hello, forum!
Is it possible to change color in a cell on some condition? For example I set scenarios in assumptions cube and see in calculation cube values for all versions but with different font colors. Choosed scenario is light green and others are light blue or white.

Which of the nine-odd user interfaces for TM1 do you have in mind?

Our users work via Web interface.

What is "Nine-odd"?

Which web interface? Websheets, Webviews or Contributor?
(That's three of the 'nine-odd' - which meant 'about' nine, but waiting for someone to correct me :) )

I will raise you at least 4 web interfaces. CX Advisor\Executive Viewer, Business Viewpoint, Cognos BI (various), Cognos Insight. Can also look at data over web using Perf Mod ( not that you would want to)

Insight's not web-based - but my 'nine-odd' related to all UIs.
Looking forward to a full list that I can pick holes in :)

Well it depends what you mean by "Our users work via Web interface."

Using a TM1 websheet which starts it's life as an Excel spreadsheet of course you can set up conditional formatting and it will work just fine on the web exactly as per Excel. But if you are using only cube views then there is no facility for conditional formats.

You don't need conditional formatting to suppress zeroes - try using the format in my earlier post. You can use this in Excel and in the Perspectives cube viewer. I don't _know_ whether you can use it in a TM1 Web view. Try.

9.5.2 Contributor is built only with cube views so no conditional formatting.

If you move to 10.1.1 then you can include websheets within a Contributor application and therefore can have conditional formatting and other stuff like asymetric views, combine data from multiple cubes in a single tab, include graphics, instructions, action buttons, etc.
