One of our clients is using Executive Viewer for most of their reporting/analysis. We are running into slow performance with EV so I thought I'd ask for opinions...the background:
1) EV view that uses alot of custom formulas to retrieve data runs slow.
2) We have created facisimilies of the EV view with Excel/Perspectives and the peformance is good.
This is a turnaround from previous experience where EV usually provides better performance than Excel/Perspectives. I am tumbling to the assumption that, due to the custom formulas, the EV view is not able to take advantage of existing TM1 cube caches and must re-execute the TM1 query each time the data is retrieved.
Any insights would be most helpful.
