Re: tm1 service start installation
Is it using a unique port?
Are the directorys listed in the config file correct? e.g. does the listed logs folder actually exist?

In addition to Declan's suggestions, there are already a couple of threads on this. An extremely quick search turns up this one for example - http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5206

Re: tm1 service start installation
Not 6, the highest port number available is 65535. The default is something like 12345 which should be fine unless something else is using it. I would normally use values like 12346, 12347, 12348 etc when creating multiple servers.mincharug.shulft wrote: so how we should take port number means is it 4 digit or 6?
Of course, it might not be anything to do with the port number. Have you checked the logs? Have you looked at the other thread?

Make sure the credentials for the Widows Service account are correct. or else you can choose the option of "This Account" in the Service properties.

I think a very good starting point would be for you to tell us exactly what set-up you are implementing here?

Re: tm1 service start installation
In your logs directory it should have a failed server log.
Unless as per my earlier post the logging directory doesn't exist?

Re: tm1 service start installation
Hello,
still same problem if i add the loggingdirectiory to see the issue so NO logs has ganarated to see the issue.
and one more thing i want to bring your attention is
already applix90 32bit tm1 server is up and running so i thought that due to up&running of 32-bit it might have problem so i disabled and
try to run applix 9064-bit tm1 server even than we are getting the same issue.
appriciated if any gentle man help?

Re: tm1 service start installation
Your problem, that of a TM1 server instance failing to start, should be easy to fix. However, I don't think anyone understands your setup or what you have or haven't tried.mincharug.shulft wrote:Hello,

I've never tried but would assume you'd run into problems anyway if you try to run two different versions of TM1 on the same server, irrespective of whether one is 32 bit and 64 bit. If this is what you're trying to do, may I ask why? If you're running a 64 bit server why not just run the 64 bit version of TM1?mincharug.shulft wrote: and one more thing i want to bring your attention is

Possibly, but then I'm guessing that when you say "applix90 64-bit" you mean some 64 bit version of the TM1 server software. If so, which version?mincharug.shulft wrote:continue to above..

Re: tm1 service start installation
When I get these error messages I fall back on Alan's excellent "How to guide for installing TM1 Servers":

Re: tm1 service start installation
You can't run two different versions of TM1 on the same physical server unless you bastard up the installation and know exactly what you are doing. If you just run the plain install on a box that already has a different version of TM1 running on it the second version WILL NOT RUN. If this is what you are doing then please stop wasting your and our time.
