Hi All!
I have a question about such control cubes as "}CubeCaptions" and "}DimensionCaptions". Have anybody used them? Or does anybody know how to change dimension display names in Report studio?

Re: Control cubes
Are you using version 9.5? AFAIK these are not standard control cubes - they're certainly not in my list of cubes anyway.
It is possible to build your own "Control" cubes simply by sticking a "}" in front of the cube name. The developer may have done this because he wanted to hide the cubes from public view.

Re: Control cubes
I know that the OP shows 9.5 on their profile, but these cubes are present in 10.1. (I haven't explored the use of them yet but I'm betting that they have something to do with that abomination Slowformance Modeller. Either that or for BI integration.)Martin Ryan wrote:Are you using version 9.5? AFAIK these are not standard control cubes - they're certainly not in my list of cubes anyway.

The cubes seem to allow alternative names based on language. Needless to say... the cubes aren't mentioned in the documentation. Oh, there's probably some obscure page out there with a link that mentions them. Somewhere. But actual documentation? Meh, that's for people who live in the past.

Re: Control cubes
As of version 10.1 you can "rename" cubes and dimensions. Essentially these control cubes hold the value of your rename. Kind of like an alias as the original name never actually changes. I haven't played with publishing 10.1 cubes to bi thoroughly yet so I'm not sure if the rename value is what shows up or not.

Re: Control cubes
I use version 9.5.2 and need to rename cubes and dimensions so that in Report Studio their names appear in Russian not in English. I don't even understand how should I use this control cubes to give names in Russian.
