Active Form

Hello
I am a new user in TM1, I want to use "Active Form" and also add my own Excel formulas.
How do i override the protection of certain columns?

I'm not sure what you mean by "protection". You'll probably get better responses if you articulate exactly what it is you are trying to accomplish and what you have done so far.

Protection is controlled by Excel, not by TM1

Columns aren't controlled by Active Forms, rows are. An active form will remove any formulas that are added to the right of the active form and copy the formulas from the first row of the active form downwards. If you want to add your own formulas then you need to do so above or below the main body of the active form.

That's a little misleading. You can put whatever you want in the first row of the active form and TM1 will copy it down as the report is expanded. It can be TM1 formulas, regular Excel formulas, or even just plain text. TM1 will just take what's in the cell and copy it down, respecting the anchor rules, just like if you were copying the formula down yourself with Excel. So, you can have your own formulas, it's just that TM1 is going to take what's in the first line and copy it down. This means that you have to structure the formula with anchoring so that when it is copied down it does what you want. What you can't have is custom formulas on each line because they'll just get blown away in the copy down.

I agree it could've been a tad clearer about accepting various types of formulas in that first row, but no doubt the OP would have worked it out the first time they put it in action.
