Here's a question that I can't seem to answer, having done some due diligence.
We use TM1 Web to provide data input capabilities from clients. It works well enough. However, we have clients all over the world, who use different conventions for decimals: e.g. 1.000,00 vs. 1,000.00. Our server is set up to US standards, which is fine for most folks, but not for those trying to paste in values in 1.000,00 format. One solution would be to tell these folks to just deal with 1,000.00, but these are clients who pay us money for our services, so I'd rather not ask this of them. The good news is that the folks using 1.000,00 formats use different websheets than the ones using 1,000.00 format. The bad news is, I think, that default thousands and delimiter settings are generally (in Windows) set for the machine (or at least the user under which stuff is running).
So here's my question, in a nutshell: Does anyone know how to set up websheets running on the same TM1 instance that use different thousands and decimal delimiters?
This isn't about currency symbols; setting up one websheet with the € symbol, and another with $, is easy, but they're both similar on the delimiters (€1,000.00 and $1,000.00).
Having typed this out, I have an idea- I'll post back if it works.
Regards,
Brian
