HI,
We are using Applix TM1 9.0.3, is it possible to use this parameter in the configuration file?
LockPagesInMemory=T
Because as per as the Applix guide I understand that there is no such parameter in the Applix TM1 9.0.3
Can please me here?
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to use a feature added to a newer release of TM1 in an older release? Are you serious?

Re: is it possible in applix?
To be fair, for all Applix's faults they did at least make sure that when they put a new TI command in, put a new Rules statement in, put a new server config parameter in, they at least took the frapping time to put it in the relevant release notes. This is something that Cognos seems to be singularly incapable of doing or flat out unwilling to do.tomok wrote:Is it possible to use a feature added t a newer release of TM1 in an older release? The first appearance of LockPagesInMemory that I can find is in the 9.4.1 FP3 release notes but it's in a section which is described thus:
In other words it may have been released with 9.4.1 FP3. Or, perhaps, it was in an earlier release of 9.4 and we just forgot to document it. Or maybe it was an adjunct to the overhaul of the locking model in 9.1 and we just forgot to tell you about it at that time. Hey, it may have been in earlier versions, but you'll never know!The following section corrects errors or omissions in the documentation for TM1 9.4.1 FP3.
Just as with the new "Direct" TI commands Cognos seems to see no point in including in the documentation which version a function/statement/parameter came in with because after all, everyone just upgrades to the latest version immediately upon release... er, don't they?
As I've said, Iboglix seems to be losing a certain amount of "real world" grip. Persistent documentation failures like this one[1] are but one manifestation of that.
([1]As noted above, "getting around to documenting it as an omission the gods only know how long after it was introduced" without saying when it was introduced remains a "fail" IMHO. The expression "A day late and a dollar short" comes to mind.)
In response to the OP; I'd regard it as being unsafe to rely on any functionality which was undocumented in that version. Take it as read that it's not available before 9.4.1 FP3, even if that's not necessarily the true case. Certainly I doubt (but cannot confirm) that it was available in 9.0.

If I recall correctly version 9.1.4SP1 was the first version in which the LockPagesInMemory parameter appeared.
