Dear All
I am using IE6 to connect to TM1 web. When I open a cube view and create a sandbox (let say SandBox1) to try spreading function
- The cube view sometimes automatically switch to "[Based]" version after a few actions (e.g select dimension criteria, rebuild ...)
- When this problem happens, I try to select the "SandBox1" which I originally working, from the sandbox dropdown list
- However, after the screen refresh on dropdown list selection change, the dropdown list always display the "[Based]" as it selected value
Even through the dropdown list display the "[Based]" as it selected value, however, the cube view display the spreading data that I am working for in "sandbox1".
- This is confusing, so I close the IE and login again
- Open the cube view, in the "[Based]" version, no spreading data. In "Sandbox1", yes, have the spreading data; the problem gone
This problem happens "sometimes" and is very confusing, do you guy have ever encounter the similar problem?

Re: Sandbox dropdown list switching problem in TM1 web
Although IE6 is still listed as 'compatible' for TM1 9.5.2, the browser technology is stone age class. Could you test this with a more up-to-date browser and check whether the problem persists?

Re: Sandbox dropdown list switching problem in TM1 web
I also don't like IE6 as well but it is the standard in company at this moment. BTW, want to share the finding of my posted issue:
When a "single" ID open multiple browsers, and at the same time, there is creation of new sandbox in one browser.
Then, the "other" browser which is NOT aware of the new sandbox (never see the new sandbox in this browser unless logout & login again), and this other browser, on screen refresh (rebuild, re-calc, selection or etc), will always display [Base] in the sandbox dropdown list as the selected value.
We are sharing a ID for testing our new application.

Re: Sandbox dropdown list switching problem in TM1 web
This is expected behavior is it not? Since the sandbox is per User ID then how can you have more than one person using the same login ID at the same time and expect the sandbox feature to work correctly. If you want more than one person at a time to test the sandbox functionality you can not have them all share the same ID.wilsonhk wrote:When a "single" ID open multiple browsers, and at the same time, there is creation of new sandbox in one browser.
