Hi,
I detected a strange think in Architect (Cognos Express 9.5). After I activated and opened the advanced rules editor it behaved in a strange way: on every click with the mouse an tab is inserted - so working with it is not really possible.
So I decided to de-active the advanced option againg - but when I open the archited the advanced mode is still in use - allthough I tried to restart the server.
has anybody an idea how i could solve the problem?
best
klaus

Restarting the server won't work as the availibility of the Advanced Rules editor is a client side setting.
I have seen the {tab} insertion in the rules editor (both advanced and classic) in situations where you're working over a Terminal Server connection - usually when you switch away from your TS and then back, a {tab} is inserted. AFAIK (but I did not spend much time finding out...) there is nothing you can do about that.

Hi Michel,
thank you for your answer. I restarted the server because I just worked on it (with the architect) ... so it's strange and it is not really possible to work with rules as it is now.
Best regards
Klaus

Re: Rules Editor - Auto Tabs
some new information:
I installed the Architect on 2 clients - and after opening the local versions the advanced editor was enabled in both computers allthough in the ini-file the option was set to false.
has anybody an idea if Architect could read this configuration via the server? The setting on all computers (server and clients) have de-activated the advanced mode.

Are you sure you've changed the correct tm1p.ini file? Your personal tm1p.ini file resides in your personal %APPDATA%\Applix\TM1\ directory.Klaus wrote:some new information:

Hi,
yes I'm sure (and I also searched for any other tm1p.ini file and changed it). And as I wrote it is the same after a installation on a clean machine. I have installed CX for many times but I never had this behavior
