TM1 Top and Cognos8 security

Hi,

I am using the Cognos Express 9.5.1 Xcelerator module at a client. And I am not able to login to TM1Top (with the v command).
The first step is to enter the CAM namespace. I tried both the long name and the Cognos8 ID of the Cognos Express and also the Cognos namespace. But it's still not working.
I got the following error message: 'User does not have admin access, not verified'. Any thoughts?

I assume that TM1 is set-up to use the Cognos8 security, and that the CAM id in question is part of the TM1 admin group?

TM1Top is just saying that TM1 doesn't recognise that CAM id as a admin user, and therefore wont verify that TM1Top session as an admin session to use the other controls of TM1Top.

Just sounds like the particulars you are using to attempt to use TM1Top are not part of TM1s admin group.

Fairly old post, but I just ran into this myself so for anyone who's searching for it the default namespace is "CognosExpress" (no space)

Or if you are using AD:

The namespace is: CognosExpressActivedirectoryID
User name: Windows logon name e.g. j.webber (even if your display name is first and last)
Password: Windows AD password
