TM1Web Login Error
I have created a username "demo" TM1 which does not have ADMIN rights (see the attached screen shot). When I try to log on to TM1Web using demo username I get the following error (screen shot attached):
You do not belong to a group. Please see your admininstrator.
But if I give this user ADMIN rights then I am able to logon to TM1Web successfully.
I am not get this problem while loggin on to Architect/Perspectives. It is only TM1Web where I get this error.
What I am missing here? Can someone please help?

Re: TM1Web Login Error
I don't know if this is an issue with TM1Web but in general I would never have a user and group with the same name. Create a group called Demo_g, make the user a member, and see if that works in Web.

Re: TM1Web Login Error
I have tried that already and created a new group name DemoGroup, but it still does not work.tomok wrote:Create a group called Demo_g, make the user a member, and see if that works in Web.

Re: TM1Web Login Error
Have you tried stopping and re-starting the TM1 service? Also issue an "iisreset" command on the web server too.

Re: TM1Web Login Error
Another possibile thing to check is that you are actually logging on to your server via TM1 Web and not some other server. Admin will probably exist on all servers but Demo may not. When you log in as Admin, are you able to see the cubes that you expect?

Re: TM1Web Login Error
I notice that even though your profile says version 9.4 your web screenshots are 9.5.
TM1 web in 9.5 has many performance benefits over previous versions however this seems to have been achieved with much greater use of caching on the web server side, particularly of the security model. If have seen this many times in 9.5 where a new user or new group will not be available in Tm1 web until after a restart of IIS. Recycle the web server and you should be fine.

Did restarting IIS solve your issue? I'm experiencing the same issue but cannot restart IIS without approval but I wanted to make sure it actually fixed your issue.

Re: TM1Web Login Error
I have tried restarting the IIS using iisreset command as well has stopped the Windows service named IIS Admin Service but it did NOT help. I am still getting the same error.
There are no other TM1 servers in the network and I am on TM1 9.5.1
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: TM1Web Login Error
Hi there,
Are you using integrated login and CAMIDs?
If so have you added the user to the correct group via the Controller environment, as CAMID security will override any groups in tm1,
ie. if you're in group demo in tm1 but not in group demo via the CAM group then the tm1 login will not see it as valid.
Cheers Neil

Re: TM1Web Login Error
Hi There ,
This is a known problem in TM1 9.5.1 which has been identified for a fix in the next fix pack . Current work around is to restart the tm1 server to get rid of this error.

Restarting of TM1 Service worked.
Thanks Anoop.
Re: TM1Web Login Error
The fix should be in 9.5.2. Correct. The current work-around is to restart the instance.anoops81 wrote:Hi There ,
