Element weight changed when copying and pasting element

Post by Joni »

One of the end users of our system tells me that they moved an element to a different place in the dimension, and that this caused the weighting to be lost... Is this possible? What other things could the end user have done to cause this to happen?

Thanks in advance!

Element weight is contextual, and an element will have independent weights for each instance. This is great when using TM1 to restate accounts or perform calculations. I would assume that it would default to a weight of 1 when being moved as Tm1 would need further instruction as to what the desired weight should be as it's context would have changed.
