Can't save an .xdi

Post by Declanrodger »

In TM1 i am able to open an alter an .xdi sheet but then when i select save .xdi (the actual TM1 save... not trying to use the excel save button in case anyone suggests that) nothing happens, no save and no error message.

Any Ideas?

Full developer access etc...

Were the changes reflected in the dimension but the xdi file did not save? Or did both the dimension change not work and the xdi not save?

Possible check areas:

1) When saving the dimension worksheet, was the correct server selected?
2) In Server Explorer -> File -> Options, does the Data Directory field reflect the correct folder address of the xdi file?
3) Do you have OS write access to the TM1 directory?

Hi,

If you're sure that you're logged on with sufficient rights to the regarding server, a possible reason for the failure could be that there is an alias for an element conflicting with the name of another element in the dimension.

Hang on, developer access? You aren't developing in a Windows Vista / Windows 7 environment, are you? Because if so, you may want to look at this thread.
