Which version is most stable version?
Hi there,
We have a plan to upgrade TM1 next year.
I found latest stable version of TM1 is 9.5 at Wikipedia, however I found some negative comments at topic about 4 months ago.
So, could someone please tell us which version is a most stable version?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Yukiya Ishimaru

Re: Which version is most stable version?
If you are upgrading then go for the version 9.5.1 and do not forget to install the Fix Packs.
To my knowledge version 9.5.1 is much stable then 9.5

Re: Which version is most stable version?
anyone knows if the Drill-through bug in 9.5.1 has been fixed? When it was 1st launched, drill through will not make reference to the elements in the common title dimensions and port them over to the target view.

Yes, I'm told it was fixed in HF8 (but I haven't tested it yet).

Re: Which version is most stable version?
Although this was a pretty bad bug it was not quite so dire as not working at all. The bug affected only cube to cube drills in the cube viewer in perspectives and architect. Drill through in Excel, websheets and the web cube viewer and all relational drill-throughs all behaved as they should. - Likewise I believe this is fixed in one of the later hot fixes but I haven't tested it.harrytm1 wrote:anyone knows if the Drill-through bug in 9.5.1 has been fixed? In terms of the OP's question both 9.4.1.3 and 9.5.1 are stable versions but for a new upgrade 9.5.1 would be the way to go both due to new features and the fact that the later series is always going to get more attention when it comes to fixes and development.
9.5.2 is in beta (but it may well be called 10.1 when it is released to line up with C10, who knows) but most people including myself would likely advise you to go with 9.5.1 unless you are in absolute need of the "extreme multi-user" concurrent write-back features of 9.5.2.

Re: Which version is most stable version?
There is not an information of TM1 9.5.1 with SQL 2000 (SQL 2000 is compatible database with TM1 9.5) in required Software Environment at IBM web site.
So, does someboby use TM1 9.5.1 with SQL 2000?

Re: Which version is most stable version?
With any relational database whether TM1 is "compatible" with the database just depends on ODBC driver availability.

Re: Which version is most stable version?
As Lotsaram said, database compatibility only depends on driver availability; but yes, SQL Server 2000 is the back end for our GL system and I haven't had any problems connecting to it in any version from 8.2.12 up to 9.5.1.Yukiya wrote:There is not an information of TM1 9.5.1 with SQL 2000 (SQL 2000 is compatible database with TM1 9.5) in required Software Environment at IBM web site.
