Please put the product (Server Explorer/TI/Web) and the version number in the Subject of your post. If you have an IBM Support SR number (which you should have, as bugs should have been raised with IBM before being placed here), please note that in the subject too.
No ranting. Posts should be factual and concise bug reports.
The second post in a thread should be a verfication by another user that they can replicate the error.
Discussions to be held in the main forum. This forum should be used only to describe bugs (when a product does not work as documented) and discuss how and when they are being remedied by IBM.

Re: How to make a bug post
In addition to this, it would be appreciated if people would stop posting problems that their specific installation of TM1 is having in the Bugs forum. 'Excel is crashing on my machine' @<> 'There is a bug in TM1'.
The Bugs forum is for issues which:
(a) Are identifiable differences to the way the software is supposed to perform;
(b) Are reproducible or at the very least persistent; and
(c) Could reasonably be expected to occur in other users' environments as well as your own.
An error or problem in your own installation of TM1 should be discussed in the main TM1 forum. These may turn out to be bugs (less likely if it's a problem like "Excel keeps crashing on me", or everyone would be talking about it), but if that proves to be the case they can then be posted in this forum with the relevant Service Request reference.
Thank you.

Re: How to make a bug post
Due to the number of posts that are incorrectly being made here (e.g. requests for help, not bug posts) permissions have been edited. Only MVPs and Administrators can start threads. If you have a bug post to make please make it in the main forum then ask an administrator to move the post into this forum.
Please do not send technical questions via private message or email. Post them in the forum where you'll probably get a faster reply, and everyone can benefit from the answers.
