Hello,
I am trying to use an action button to "go to another worksheet" but each time I open the file I want to link to excel crashes?
I also tried uploading the file into the applications folder and browsing to the TM1 application but it doesn't display? So I can't use the "go to worksheet" option at all.
Any help is much appreciated!
Lance

Re: Action Button crashes Excel 2007 (TM1 9.5.1)
i'm awaiting the IT goblins to install O2007 on a test machine (should have been last week...) and then i'm going to be testing 9.5.1 with everything i have. I'll ensure to add this to my script and if i find anything i'll let you know.
If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.

Does the workbook open ok if you open it manually? No funny macros being run or conflicting named ranges or something that mean a clean open isn't possible?
Long shot, but are you running 64bit Excel?
Can you rename/rebuild the target workbook and try again?

Re: Action Button crashes Excel 2007 (TM1 9.5.1)
Hello Lance,
I had an issue this week with an Action button causing Excel 2007 to crash, in that I would 'press' the button, and excel would helpfully drop out and offer to recover my work.
On restarting excel and rebooting my machine a number of times, exactly the same thing happened, not even deleting the action button and recreating it worked as it still caused a crash on activation.
The solution was to stop and start the TM1 service - it looks like Excel managed to get itself all upset with the metadata. I has added a new element to a dimension and then deleted another. Everthing else seemed to work just fine, all DBRWs all SUBNMs, data validation, the lot except that button.
So, although you may not have changed anything knowingly I would suggest a server restart.
This is using 9.4.1 FP2 and Excel 2007 (release 12.0)
HTH
