hi,
i have configured the database locally in my laptop with plansample as the dataserver name,i have configured but what happens is i can not open the cubes only.It is showing as login failed.

Hi
I presume that you mean that you are opening the planning sample as a local server? Even if you do this, security still applies. The default user id and password per the manual is admin and apple.

Just to add -
When you configured the "sdata" The default user id and password per the manual is "admin" and "apple".
If you configure the 'PData" (C:\Program Files\Cognos\TM1\Custom\TM1Data\PData) login ids are not required.
Please note: you can cofigure all 3 TM1 database(Sdata,Planningsmaple and Pdata) locally at once and work on.
