Hi All,
I hope this is not to much of a stupid question but here goes.
I am in the process of installing TM1 from scatch for the first time and have stumbled a little.
Please see attached file.
I have change the Data Directory n the options on Server Explorer but it has not fed through to the properties pane ?
So I am just getting the Planning sample at the moment instead of my cube/Dim etc from my livedata.
Have I made a mistake in the installation or is there something I have not done ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Note:
We currently use 9.0 SP3, I am not upgrading but am putting 9.4 MR1 onto a new Virtual Server.
Thanks in advance
Lee.

Re: Data Directory
random questions:
when you created your new application in E:\LiveData, did you copy over a tm1s.lic and tm1s.cfg file?
If so, did you modify the tm1s.cfg in the new directory and change the following:
- DataDirectory
- PortNumber
- Server Name
If you copied the tm1s.cfg from the PlanningSample, the parameters in the CFG file would still point to the old datadirectory

Re: Data Directory
Hi Lee,
The Data directory in the options dialog concerns the data directory of a local server (which will be named 'local'). The tm1server you're looking at in the Server Explorer window is a remote server. To set the data directory for this server you need to locate the related tm1s.cfg file, change the DataDirectory parameter in this file and restart the tm1 service.

Re: Data Directory
Guys,
Thank you for your help, spot on as usual.
Seem to be working ok, I will be very suprised if that is the only problem I come accross.
