TM1 and Excel Dashboard

Hi,

I am about to start a project where I need to build Excel dashboards using TM1 Cubes.

I haven't done any dashboard before and looking any supporting url, documentation or some examples and exercises to build dashboard in Excel using TM1 cubes.

I have TM1 9.5.0 with Office 2003 on Windows XP SP2.

There are many many many excellent examples available on the web of building dashboards in Excel. (Many not so good examples also!)

The only difference with a "TM1 Excel dashboard" is that the data will be sourced from TM1 cubes, all other aspects of building the dashboard are basically the same.

Also ND watch out for TM1Web, not all the techniques and approaches that work in Excel work in TM1Web. Not sure if the plan is to publish your dashboards in this way or not...

Good point! Especially the more advanced Excel stuff like dynamic name ranges, offset formulas, array formulas, VBA, ... (the list could go on but it would get exhaustive).

I will take a look on net for Excel dashboards and the list of Excel function supported in TM1 as well as Excel function not supported in TM1.
